I am receiving this error about a driver timeout when I try to connect my dell monitor to my computer.
I received a dell 34in S3422DWG and had that paired with an AOC U2790VQ, the monitors worked fine together both hooked up via display port, but the dell monitor had issues with the colors so they sent out a new monitor after determining it was defective. I received my new monitor today, I opened the box, unplugged the AOC monitor and used that cable to plug the new Dell monitor in to test and see if the colors were sound. Voila, that problem was fixed.
I mounted the Dell monitor, removed the old defective one and connected the new monitor with the AOC monitor.. my screens froze and this error popped up about the display driver not working. The second I unplug the dell monitor, the AOC monitor works fine. If i try to use the dell monitor on its lonesome, the same error pops up. I updated my drivers and the problem still exists.
