Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Using 2 R9 290 latest windows 10 build and latest AMD drivers (15th June 2018), I'm getting a lot of Event 4101, Display issues.
Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Usually happens when the screen saver kicks in and the monitors shut down for few hours. I cannot wake the PC and must reboot.
In the registry, my tdrDelay is set to 8, but it doesn't help.
Does any encounter this? is there any resolution to this?

I've been having this same problem ever since Microsoft did an 'update' which, as usual, breaks more things than fixes them. Trying the registry hack is useless, nothing will fix it, nobody at Microsoft cares and nobody at AMD cares. Just accept the fact that the so called 'geniuses' in the tech field have no idea what they're doing and we're lucky that things even work at all.
