I’m experiencing an issue with my Radeon 6900 XT in World of Warcraft (WoW) with DirectX12 selected as the Graphics API. Running Radeon Adrenaline Software Version 20.12.2 with Driver Version
20.45.01.33-201216a-362332E-RadeonSoftwareAdrenalin2020.
I see that when trying to use DirectX12 with the “gxMaximize” setting set to “1” I don’t see anything on the screen at all, but WoW.exe is running as it’s in the taskbar, I can close with Alt+F4 but nothing helps get the game to appear (changing fullscreen to windowed with Alt+Enter, etc.). When running DirectX12 with “gxMaximize” set to “0” I see a blank white windowed “WoW.exe” process that doesn’t render anything at all. The game isn't rendering at all with DirectX12 it seems.
The only way I can play WoW at the moment is to set the “GxApi” to “D3D11” - I also made sure to turn off any programs that may be conflicting with an overlay or anything else, also disabled the Radeon in-game overlay.
I’m running Windows 10 Version 1909 Build 18363.1256 for reference.
Can post DxDiag if requested, I am just curious if anyone else is seeing this behavior with WoW or other titles when trying to use DirectX12.
Thanks!
