Any time the driver crashes the settings default, this is normal intended behavior. They will also default when installing a new driver. There is the option to save a profile of your settings for easy recovery. If this is now happening a lot and wasn't before you may have an issue with settings, software or hardware. Please respond with full information of what is happening when it defaults, and any recent changes like new driver, Windows updates, etc.. if that is the case and we can try to offer advice to help.
