DDC/CI crashes graphics driver
It seems like software attempting to communicate with my monitor via DDC/CI crashes AMD Radeon drivers. When communication starts, the desktop including hardware mouse pointer slows down a lot to maybe 1FPS or less, and the application attempting communication with the monitor crashes. If I manage to somehow terminate the application, the system recovers, but if I don't, the graphics driver eventually bluescreens.
Happens at least with software:
- Eizo ColorNavigator immediately when starting the application
- X-Rite i1 Profiler when trying to use the "ADC" (Automatic Display Control) feature
Monitors:
- Eizo SX2461W via DVI
- NEC PA271Q via DisplayPort
Sapphire 5700XT "Pulse", using 20.2.2 and 20.3.1 drivers
Win10 64bit

I can also report something like that with Samsung's Magictune.
Everything was just working fine with my HD 7750 on the latest 20.4.2 driver
Then I updated to a R9 290.. And as soon as the program started on boot, windows completely froze.
