Compatibility of new drivers with DVI-D

My 6600XT video card is connected to a DVI-D monitor using an HDMI-DVI-D cable. (HDMI, DP is not in it) I have a problem installing drivers newer than 21.10.2, the latest driver version cannot be installed, during installation, when the monitor goes off, the system resets. If I connect my computer to another monitor that has modern HDMI and DP interfaces, then the problem will disappear. But when I reconnect my monitor with DVI-D, the system does not boot. Does this mean that new drivers that are higher than version 21.10.2 do not support DVI-D connectivity? PS Windows 10 21 H2 with all the latest updates , the bios of the current version of the motherboard. But as I described above, the problem is with the display.

I would try to eliminate your HDMI-DVI-D Adapter which may not be completely compatible.

What type of HDMI-DVI_D adapter are you using?

Is a Active or Passive type?

Make & Model?

I have tried different types of adapters and cables. On drivers 21.10.2 as well as previous versions, this problem does not exist. The problem is clearly in new drivers that do not support DVI-D.

Okay I suggest you open a AMD Support Ticket to make them aware of your issue with DVI-D Monitors using adapters from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form

To tell you the truth I don't know what changed from the version that works to the latest versions which doesn't work.

Sounds like a Radeon Setting issue.

What does Windows Settings - display show when you have your DVI-D Monitor connected?

If during installation I choose "Driver only" the problem remains. So, it's in the new drivers and not in the settings. PS I wrote to support, let's see what they answer me.

Great, Please post back what they say.

Thanks for the update.
