I have the ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING board.
I just noticed Asus has newer chipset drivers available than AMD does...
ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS USA
v18.50.06
versus
B350 Drivers & Support | AMD
v18.10.1810
How can that be? Also it recommends uninstalling previous chipset driver before installing the new ones because of the different structure. I don't see a way to uninstall the previous ones. I think I actually used the AMD ones but they aren't listed in apps and features anymore after I upgraded to Win10 1809.
I have read about the structure changes coming for drivers in Windows 10 1809 and I actually upgraded to that last night. I can't remember exactly but the gist of the new driver structure is that they will be more lean and generic and it had various benefits but switching over to it can be tricky..
Any advice? Anyone else installed these yet? How can Asus have newer ones?
