from driver version 24.8.1 and onwards, CEMU crashes on any game when it gets to shader compilation. this happens on both vulkan and opengl rendering api. rolling back to 24.7.1 fixes the problem. will this issue be fixed soon?
Solved! Go to Solution.
[SOLVED] Confirmed it has been fixed on 24.12.1 driver update.
Same issue here, hope AMD will fix this soon
Same issue for a while. Can only hope that AMD will fix this, but I'm honestly losing my faith after being an AMD user for 3 generations of GPU. Way to many issues going on specially last two years...
I don't think there are "way too many issues" with my AMD card; this issue with CEMU is the only one I currently have, and I do a lot of gaming and emulation; so maybe it's just something they're not aware of, or don't have additional information; however, I don't know how I can provide any help to speed up this process, or who can I reach, besides this forum
Shader cache recompiling on every Overwatch startup since forever, I already given up that they ever fixing this.
Open GL STILL sucks.
My friend has a 7800 XT and he's having a headache for the last two weeks.
Before actually going for the GPU, he reinstalled windows 2 times and changed the PSU. It's unbelievable. It seems that the clock default values are way to high compared to the specs of the actual GPU, it was stuttering and failing because of this wrong values, and to complete the bullsh*t, it never actually saves the setting and need to be loaded as a profile everytime.
This is the kind of thing that should be hotfixed in DAYS, not months or even years it seems.
I'm sorry, but I'm not a fanboy to actually care THIS much. If things doesn't get better, Nvidia will be my next GPU. Same thing if Ryzen start to suck like the fiasco that was the Bulldozer, this is just how things goes.
I can only hope that they actually fix this stuff.
So, the github on Cemu is reporting that driver 24.12.1 fixes that issue! I'm at work right now but I'll try when I get home.
Edit: Confirmed! It's fixed, AFMF2 is also working on fullscreen.
Overwatch 2 still not fixed. It still recompile the shaders EVERYTIME it opens and takes forever to shutdown the process once you quit the game.
Still, at least, some progress...
