ive been having this issue for months, when I want to open some games in Steam like Garrys Mod or SCP secret laboratory a message pops up saying that it couldnt swtich to the resolution, and also this DX11 could not switch resolution (1366x768 fs=1 hz=0), but before that message appears the screen turns black for some seconds, most of the time it literally gives me a blue screen, the worst part is that I cant see the error message because it cant be seen, its cut by the screen, ive tried everything, like updating drivers, but it either crashed mid installation or doesnt do anything, usually when I fully reset my laptop and install windows again, I just need to install the specific driver for my graphics and everythign works fine, until some time passes and the same problem happens, im getting tired that i cant even play half of my library or else i get a blue screen, i dont think the problem is the hardware as I was able to solve it lot of times but the problem came back, i also took it to a technician and theres nothing wrong with the hardware, i think its just the drivers, but i dont know anymore
my laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad, it has 2 GPUs
AMD Radeon (TM) R5 M330 (dedicated)
and AMD Radeon (TM) R5 graphics (integrated)
CPU: AMD A9-9410 RADEON R5, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G
using windows 10 right now, not many apps are installed (also using directx12)
this laptop has aprox 6 or 7 years old
many of the blue screen error I was able to see were:
BAD POOL CALLER
KERNAL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION
BAD SYSTEM CONFIG
PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA
