Hi all,
I recently bought a used gaming rig with following specs:
Core i7-3770 3.4 Ghz
16GB DDR3 1333Mhz
GTX 670 2GB
Corsair 850 PSU
To upgrade the gaming capabilties of the pc, I bought a used XFX RX 580 8GB DDR5 video card.
The problem is whenever I try to install the driver and its software from AMD website, the pc freezes while "checking system configuration for driver and software compatibility".
I did the suggestions that I found on this topic like cleaning the previous driver one with DDU, installed a fresh Windows, disabled anti-viruses... etc, but nothing helped.
Now I live with the Windows driver for the gpu, but I am afraid I am not using the full potential of this card??
When I do benchmark test I get only 34% percentile.
And I also get random issues while plaing games such as Pubg Mobile & COD on Tencent emulator (not sure if it is an emulator problem or gpu problem). things like some parts of the game are totally black and stuff like that.
I did my research and my mobo should support this card as far as I understand, but I cannot figure out where is the issue.
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated!
