So I have a Gigabyte 5700XT OC
Anyways, I recently reinstalled it (I exchanged cards with bro for a while cuz he wanted to mine cryptos..)
Anyways, I installed latest AMD driver and I noticed the drivers are setting my 4K TV Native resolution too low (1990*1080)
That's not correct according to Sony website. I have a Bravia 850 with 3840 x 2160 native resolution and I can even set it to 4,096*2160
Anyways, this makes me not able to effectively use FSR, because 1080P is too low and FSR works by scaling your lower app resolution to your display's native resolition.
How to fix this
Possibly the mining exploits of your brother have damaged the card!
I don't think he did any exploits, I asked him.
He might have underclocked it if anything, for mining, however the card is working fine right now and it is running at default clock speeds.
My 1st impression was the same as vialli100.
However, have you tried setting the overclocking back to stock. It shouldn't make any difference unless your borderline stable and the monitor pushes it over the limit of stable.
Hi, if you mean through the driver, yes in the Tuning Tap, I put it as default.
The card isn't damaged I think, it is working fine.
I would look to see if it is running the correct VBIOS using GPUZ. Some miners load custom VBIOS that are optimized for mining specifically.
Hi I checked GPUZ and my VBIOS version is 017.001.000.049.000000
and according to Techpowerup database, that is the correct legitimate version for my GPU.
I'm really at a loss, somebody help.
One thing you could try is email AMD support. This is a community run forum so if you want specifics on how to resolve the issue that would be the best route to take.
