Black Screen Issue with AMD RX 6600 GPU during Driver Installation

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking some urgent assistance regarding a persistent issue I've been facing while attempting to install AMD drivers for my RX 6600 GPU. I've tried various solutions, but the problem persists, and I'm hoping to get some insights from the community.

Whenever I try to on my PC, after the BIOS screen during boot-up, the screen goes completely black, and I'm unable to proceed to the Windows environment. I've recently noticed some screen flickering before the black screen issue in the latest time I can access to my PC. When I woke up today and started my PC the black screen mentioned occur.

Here are some method that I tried:

- force restarting the PC would not help, it went into black screen every right after BIOS.
- reset CMOS by remove and replace the button battery on motherboard
- reset motherboard BIOS
- reinstall Win11
- format ALL the drives and install Win10

but it seems like it doesn't help at all. After that, I try to swap this GPU with another PC, the issue bring into another PC which proven the issue is 100% caused by this GPU. After swapped back to the working GPU, the "another PC" shows this error, "Error 207: AMD Software Installation Completed Successfully but Windows Detected a Potential Issue with Your Graphics Device". However, when I reset or reinstall Windows before connecting it into the internet, these errors shows in the device manager page: "Code 31: This device is not working properly and "Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."

With the Windows running Basic Display Adapter, the PC is working fine (without detecting the GPU but the HDMI is connected into the GPU). Once the AMD driver installed automatically by Windows or manually using the wizard downloaded from AMD official website, it went black screen during the installation.

There is some issue happened for my house's power which cause flicking and trip right before this issue occur, not sure are they related.

Additionally, if anyone has experienced screen flickering before a black screen issue, I'd appreciate any advice or guidance on how to address that as well.

Best Regards!

Not very sure how DDU works, please assist

Sorry for the late answer friend I just saw your message. Sucks that it didn't fix your issue, sadly I have no more ideas as that's what I did to fix mine. Maybe if you remove amd's driver from pc settings, restart then try reinstalling?
