Black screen, green screen, reboot

Hi everyone,

I just bought a new PC and installed everything like Windows 10 and all the drivers my computer needed.

My pc crashes most of the time with black screen, reboot or green screen and reboot

or sometimes it crashes and there's no reboot at all

Here's my PC specs :

Amd RYZEN 5 3600

Powercolor RedDragon RX 5700 XT

2x8 DDR4 HyperX Fury 3000MHz

I had the latest drivers installed and saw that these were bugged so I went back into the 19.12.1 and I still have the same problem,

Maybe there's no fix for the moment :/

Thank you for the answers !

Some people reported to have issues and crashes while using MSI Afterburner on the RX 5000 series.

I am using driver 20.9.1 myself and I am using the Radeon Software

to undervolt, limit frequenzy and change fan curve.

Just make sure to stay away from:

Radeon Anti Lag, Boost, Chill and Enhanced Sync, since they caused the crashes for me.

Looks like the community recommends driver 20.8.3 for the RX 5600 (XT) and 5700 (XT):

You can try to do a clean install of the driver and also try to stay on Standard Profile of the Radeon Software.

Here is a post on how to do the clean install of the driver (link)

Driver version 20.9.1 is stable for me, after I have followed the solution within that topic.

Another thing to consider, if your card has factory overclock applied:

1) try to limit the boost clock to 2000 MHz

2) undervolt your card by at least 50mV

- around 1050-1125 mV can be stable undervolt, depending on card model

3) check fan curve and junction temp (try to stay below 85°C junction temp)

4) set power limit to +50% (slider all the way to the right)

- this will give your card more power (if it needs it) and might prevent issues

Hi and thank you for the answer, I just installed the 20.8.1 version I'm currently testing it

How do I change all the settings for the GPU ? Through the BIOS or  MSI Afterburner?
