I've been attempting to update my chipset drivers for some time as the version that was pushed from Windows Update has been causing issues. In the past it's been simple, I download the auto detect tool and I'm done.
Now the auto detect tool has gone missing and when you go searching for it you just end up in a loop of going to a KB article which points to the support page where the auto detect tool is no longer available and neither are drivers for my specific device.
My device is an Asus Zephyrus G14 (GA401QM) gaming laptop with an Ryzen 9 5900HS chipset. I tried Asus' website and the only driver they have listed for my model is some ancient one that does not include the Adrenalin software.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I have to assume you mean graphics/APU update...not chipset update. Chipsets are not part of Adrenalin.
Here is the correct driver...it is the only driver you install. It updates both graphics..discrete and imbedded....as well as the APU.
I have the 5900HS not the 4900. The only driver listed is for the 5900HX.
Ooops...there is a recent post with the same issue. Both Asus laptops. https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/ryzen-9-5900hs-drivers/m-p/575132#M167250
You will have to use the manufacturer supplied drivers. The graphics drivers are downloaded from Nvidia.
Scroll down to the AMD settings > https://rog.asus.com/supportonly/ga401qm/helpdesk
Or the AMD supplied driver:

Perfect, the second link is what I'm looking for as the drivers on the Asus website are dated. Thank you.
