Just got my build and it includes the Radeon RX 5500 XT (ASROCK Challenger, if that matters too) and it has bluescreened a couple times randomly, once i was fiddling with transferring basic files from a backup, another was when i was watching a couple streams (not streaming, myself) but also for 20 minutes not actually doing anything, and the third was again transferring more basic files.
When it crashes it says Atikmpag.sys, VIDEO TDR ERROR.
I have no idea what's wrong or if it's faulty, i really hope it's not faulty.
Hi there
Did you upgrade your GPU to an RX5500 or did you build a whole new gaming pc?
Had a friend build with it.
same thing here, getting one of these every day.

Update: I know this is months late but hello from July 2020, updating and downgrading the drivers hasn't worked and I don't even have bluescreens anymore, they've changed to blackscreens where nothing happens and my PC just restarts. It's frustrating and I'm pretty sure my PC isn't overheating or anything, everytime i check the GPU, the Current Temp and Junction Temp are in the mid 30s. Speccy says my motherboard is in the high 60s, tho and Idk how actually bad that temp is.
All in all, nothing seems to work and every crash is the same thing, TDR errors and they happen anytime, sorry if this doesn't help.
If you are running stock PC without problems, and temps are normal -this can be either bad driver or bad GPU. If you can return the GPU, and preferably get some nvidia.
I think it was a bad driver, i tried doing a clean uninstall of the drivers and a clean reinstall and so far, it's been perfect without problems for the passed 2 days.
But if any other problem i haven't seen yet rises to the surface, I'll definitely be getting an Nvidia card.
Good to hear. Your friend probably botched something Maybe he had nvidia card in there and forgot to DDU?
I tried AMD cleanup and DDU in safe mode, then installed 20.1.3. See if that does the trick. When I put the system together last week it ran without problems for a couple of days with 20.2.1, then all of a sudden this bluescreen started happening regularly.
Hopefully this does the trick. I submitted a ticket to AMD, and hopefully their March release will be more stable.
