I have a desktop computer and I bought one of these. I'm loving its performance and consumption. But there's one thing I can't find in the AMD driver, the fan control! I've tried afterburner but the fan control option doesn't appear either...

any tips?

Do you have the full Adrenaline suite?

First thing is uninstall Afterburner.  This is ancient software that was a royal pain in the butt.  

Start your Adrenalin software.  You should get the HOME GAMING PREFERENCE screen.  

Select the PREFERENCE option.  You will see Metrics Tuning Advisors.

Select Tuning.  I use the Custom settings.  You have several options.

On the right hand side of your screen you will see Fan Tuning.  You need to enable it and also enable the Advanced control and the Power Tuning needs to be enabled. 

Go back to the left side of the screen and enable GPU Tuning and Advanced Control.

Enable VRAM Tuning and Advanced Control.

The last thing you need to do is click the APPLY THESE SETTINGS.

Now be aware any time updates are installed these setting will go back to DEFAULT.

I can't find the fan control anywhere.

If you go to Adrenaline, at the top it says Performance, in that section it says tuning, then click custom, and then you will see Fan Tuning. Enable it and you will have options.

I've tried and nothing. The option "smartAccesMemory" is written next to "Not available".

It is possible the RX 6400 doesn't support fan control. I know some lower end cards I have seen don't support it.
