Any Adrenalin update past version 23.7.2 causes my Samsung TV to stop working. TV throws an error 'Mode not supported - Resolution not supported. Change the resolution of the external device'.
My Set-up:
- AMD Radeon RX 6750XT
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- Samsung Neo QLED QN90B 43" @120Hz
What I tried to troubleshoot the issue:
- Changed the Resolution down to Full-HD @ 60 Hz (didn't work)
- Disabled HDR (didn't work)
- Reset my TV (didn't work)
- Update my TV's drivers (didn't work)
- Enabled 'game mode' in the TV (Got rid of the error message and allowed me to see the desktop and normal applications but reverts back to the error when opening any game)
Additional behaviour I noticed while troubleshooting:
The TV works both on desktop and in games while running at 4k @60Hz only when a second 4k TV is plugged in.
Other TVs work fine. This seems to be an AMD driver issue specific to the mentioned Samsung TV model as far as I can tell.
My temporary fix:
Reverting back to Adrenaline 23.7.2
