Known Issues

• Intermittent crash of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ may be observed while playing Marvel's Spider-Man 2 or Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with AMD Image Inspector enabled. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to disable AMD Image Inspector as a temporary workaround. 
• Lower than expected performance may be observed when using YouTube on the Microsoft Edge web browser immediately after a driver install. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to restart Microsoft Edge and relaunch YouTube as a temporary workaround. 
• 3rd party tools that rely on our ADL SDK for detecting ROPs count will incorrectly report 64 ROPs, and we are looking to address this in a driver update post launch. 
• Incorrect gamma is exhibited while playing Counter-Strike 2 and using MSAA x8 on Radeon™ RX 9070 series graphics products. 
• AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ may not accurately report AMD FSR 4 enablement for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. 
• Intermittent application crash may be observed in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle when settings are set to "Very Ultra" quality and Path Tracing is enabled. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to use the default Ray Tracing settings as a temporary workaround. 
• After using the AMD Cleanup Utility for Windows®, the AMD Bug Report Tool may appear intermittently during a new driver install on AMD Ryzen™ 7000 and above series processors paired with AMD Graphics Products.
• After completing a driver upgrade on certain laptops, users may experience intermittent failures for the integrated camera to start. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to use the AMD Cleanup Utility for Windows® and use our previous recommended driver, available here.

The latest AMD 25.3.1 drivers have big problems for the RX 7900XT. Typical AMD. Unfortunately, we can't rely on AMD. Desktop artifacts and flickering screens and fans that seem to turn on randomly. Incredible. After spending a lot of money on the video card. Only problems.

Having a Asus M5406WA laptop with Ryzen AI Hx 370, and the 25.3.1 causes BSOD (IRQL not less or equel, or kmode error) when Reading vidéo through a network storage.

BSOD also during gaming.

Rollback to 25.2.1 and issues are gone

Bring back the possibility to set minimum clock.

I just got the RX 9070xt and there is no option in the driver to set low and max frequency , instead there is something called "maximum frequence" instead.

Is this a rx 9070 related or driver related?

Because when i play like battlefield 5 i dont whant to render frames ahead i dissable "future frame rendering" , but then i get low fps instead and the clock sits around 1600mhz.
I get way more fps with the 6900xt.

with all the other cards ive had in the past 6000 and 7000 series i could just set the frequency 100mhz lower then the max bost clock and it would keep that clock. This is not possible now.

Will this be fixed or is there a work around?

Look at picture u know what i mean. Because now i miss out on about maybe 40-80 fps.

And also youtube stream/uploading from adrenaline software is still broken since like 2 years ago.

Coming from a 7800xt which i never had any issues with dual display besides the mem not clocking down in i had the 2x dell 1440p screens at 165hz and 75hz.

now if i do the the same on the 9070xt  Screen one i cannot change frequency if i select screen 2 at 75hz.  Also screen 2 will not run at full resolution as well at 75hz.

 

And lastly since changing to Asus Prime OC 9070XT, windows update wants to keep overriding the 25.3.1 driver.

There is definitely something wrong with this driver with RDNA3. When I multitask away from a game so it minimizes, then switch back to it, performance TANKS. The FPS reads OK but it gets very "framey" (jerky, whatever you want to call it). Oddly, putting up the overlay with Ctrl+Shift+O improves it somewhat, and turning it off makes it go back to really bad. Reverting to 25.2.1 completely fixed it (25.2.1 was a very good driver, BTW).

This is a big deal to me, as I often play games on my lunch or take a 15 min game break while waiting for synchronizations, etc while working. Even after hours, I semi-frequently switch away from a game to check something on the web, and this driver makes that impossible.

OTOH, the software updater in 25.3.1 is a nice upgrade.

I'm still experimenting with this - I ended up going back to 25.3.1 after some annoyances using an older driver. This time I did a full factory reset and didn't keep settings (they're easy enough to redo, I don't heavily tweak anything). So far everything seems OK, I just haven't played games with switching between the game and work apps enough yet, so I can't be sure it cured that issue.

Today I had quite a few "interruptions" while gaming during my lunch, and had to switch to multiple other apps and back to the game. It never had any performance issues during all of this. Maybe it just didn't like something that happened when upgrading from 25.2.1, after reinstalling with a factory reset it hasn't had a single issue. I still need a few more times with consistent no-issues to feel confident about it, but it seems OK since the reinstallation.

I do a factory reset with every driver update. The past couple/few drivers have had an option to preserve settings. Even with nvidia, I would clean install driver. Things just went better for me following this.

Hi great new Update, but i rely heavily on the recording features AMD Adrenaline gave me, such as "Instant Replay". In the new update i cannot find the tab for that to set it up. Even on the hotkeys menu, there is no hotkey for Instant Replay. HELP

RX7900 XT here, these new drivers got wonky with firefox would make my desktop freeze up (making me do a hard reboot cause ctrl+alt+del wont even work) when trying to open a new tab while watching youtube, rolled back to PRO 24.Q4 for now.

After installing this driver update, i had to turn off hardware acceleration on my chrome and edge browser. If chrome and discord were open at the same time, anytime I interacted with the chrome browser window, it would flicker HDR on and off.

Turning off hardware acceleration in the browser solved this issue for me.

 we are trying to find problematic components, starting from the source to the keyboard..I really don't understand what is so hard to understand that in fact AMD's software division is a disaster. Let other guys do the work. Go home and start raising sheep. Shepherds..

After installing this drivers update ALMOST every game having stutter or FPS drop issues, I had it before and there is almost no fix for it, can we expect hot fixes in near future or is it for have a year again ? Horizon Forbidden west seems broken using my RX 9070 in burning shores DLC main hub. very spiky frame graph. Frame gen not working properly in this game with 9070. Seem okay in the main game without frame gen. Oh, and Vsync not working at all. Neither the in-game one or from the drivers.

Same story for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. Huge FPS drops, not smooth and frame gen not working properly.

With my 6700 XT, 7700 XT and 7800 XT I have a very smooth frame graph and frame gen working properly.

Here's hoping Ubisoft at least gave AMD some money as intensive for a driver update, so we get some drivers for AC: Shadows at the very least... Seeing as we still have no game ready drivers for KCD 2...

FSR4 doesn't work in Monster Hunter Wilds on windows 10. It doesn't detect the ingame fsr3.

I think I am having an issue with the drivers.

I have a RX 5700 XT PG and R5 4600g and everything was working fine, but I got the last adrenaline update and now Minecraft is giving me Error Code 1.

If I Uninstall adrenaline then minecraft works fine.

Winupdate gets automatically the update.

On radeon 6900xt totally unusable - system extra lagging even on widows desktop (it almost freezes, mouse moves a bit in 3-5 second intervals, you can only ctrl-alt-del and wait...  after that few minutes is fine, until you move/switch some window)

tried sfc and dism, tried clean, twice - still the same. This driver is the worst ever i tried.

Had to downgrade back to 24.12.1.

After downgrade, API for sensors does not work any more... I will have to fix it somehow...

BTW: new stupid software manager wont uninstall and keep installing new drivers back, until you reconfigure it or kill it. This is UX fail who wants to downgrade and immediately upgrade?

Could you not uninstall the update manager from windows > apps, it is separate to amd software.

After this failed AMD Adrealin software upgrade no access to Windows. Only recovery available with options available. None of Windows recovery etc. tools are not able to fix Windows so, that it would start even in Safe mode. So only command level available, where can I access, run commands like sfc, DISM...

I tried to install this in to my fresh Beelink AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Windows 11. Installation started fine, but after some mites screen went black, nothing happened anymore. Keyboard was dead (no life on numlock, capslock), none of USB devices reacted anymore. I waited 30 minutes and I had no another option than HW reboot.

After that HW reboot WINDOWS DOES NOT BOOT at all, it fails and none of recovery/safemode etc. options are helping. I have been doing ICT since 1983 and this is first time I phase a situation not able to fix by my own.

I have only command level available, so how can I CLEAN AMD installation or run installation (wihtout network connection)? Is there some special AMD tools available for crash like this?

For the people who think to run this upgrade, make sure you have restoring points running on your Windows 11 and make extra snaps before running this. Closing all applications, forewall, virus scanners are not making sure all will go fine.

So all advise more than welcome. I have A LOT work and softwares installed in that PC, fresh Windows installation is not an option.

You can boot to recovery via installation media (eg a bootable USB drive) and try to run system restore or worse case you can reset windows from there.

I got a BSOD when updating to 25.3.1.

Had to roll back to 24.12.1 to get my computer running again.
