Since 24.9.1, still getting random black screens on match start in Cossacks 3 steam version, and random artifacts in both steam and GOG (see the invisible Town Hall for England, sometimes the building models appear but corrupted) on 6950XT.

Invisible (or corrupted) building model:

Black screen at match start:

So i went back to 24.8.1, and well the issue is gone, but i had to update the gpu since im using windows 11 24h2

im using the 24.10.1 now, and i decide to not shut down my pc so i dont have to face this issue eveytime

this issue is the apps get freeze nothing is working, tho the mouse is moving and working fine, i dont know how to explain it but its something like that

You had to update because you're using Win11 24h2... Why? You don't HAVE to update to anything. Stop letting Windows control your PC.

May I ask what was causing the intermittent performance issues regarding DayZ? You claim it's been fixed so I did the unthinkable and updated my drivers (it's risky when you're on team red) from 23.11.1 to 24.10.1. Man I'm using almost one year old drivers, aah that AMD feeling. Jumping from old drivers to newer but still old drivers. Nothing compares to it.

What was my experience you may ask. Well I can give you a hint. I was a happy camper in the forest but when I headed for the city I got that feeling of my GPU shutting down and going to sleep xD Mmmm yes, praise the gamer god! Just as expected. I think this was the last straw and as a goodbye I will post a short video so that you know I'm not just a hater. Not tonight tho because I'm not feeling it.  I'm choking on my own rage here, as Moe would have put it, after having spent the last 1,5h tinkering with settings and whatnot trying to experience that fix/improvement you speak of. xD

Spoiler alert. Nothing has been fixed or improved.

I'm already tired of waiting for them to fix the problem with Dayz. I'm already thinking of going over to the green side! All games work fine, except for the Dayz itself)

Can you fix Zenless Zone Zero? The game has image artifacts at resolutions above 1080p on RX 7800 XT and RX 7900 GRE cards. This has been tested on different cards from various vendors, so the issue is with the video driver.

I recently updated my graphics card (RX 6700xt) to the latest one because Counter Strike 2 detected and recommended the latest driver but after I got BSOD. The first BSOD was when I was playing CS2. It went BSOD then restarted. On the next one, I didn't even play CS2, it just went BSOD again. And this has occurred every time. My PC has been unusable. I'm trying system restore to go back to the previous graphics driver and see if it fixes it. Windows 11 version 23H2, OS build 22631.4317, 12th gen intel I5-12600K, 32GB RAM, 1TB M.2 Nome

I hope you can fix this ASAP

 BSODBSOD

Update: I rolled back to the previous restore point, no more BSOD. I then installed previous adrenaline 24.8.1 and played CS2 for 2 hours with no BSOD.

Same experience here: With Adrenalin 24.10.1 suddenly i had BSOD all the time, even without running a game, just Windows 11. Even after a clean reboot (or multiple reboots) simple tasks like opening a browser, windows explorer or task manager failed most of the time. I wasn't able to use my computer anymore.

After uninstalling 24.10.1 and reinstalling 24.8.1 everything runs like a charm again.

Starting with Adrenalin Edition 24.8.1, Windows 11 crashes and BSOD appears when pairing with Airpod Pro 2.

I'm getting a 2/3rd performance drop nearly using these drivers and the beta, in comparison to 24.9.1 for AI image generation over ROCM in WSL with these drivers installed on my primary windows partition. Any chance this can be looked into, also the GPU constantly shows 100% usage and a constant 150-200 watts(no monitors on) now after initially running image generation, and stays there until wsl is shutdown. This didn't happened prior.

Hello

With this driver I've been having a issue of massive performance drops while playing forza motorsport while using the game bar overlays on, I like to have the party chat overlay to see who is joining the party and who is talking, can replicate this every time in any race, rolled back to drivers 24.8.1 and the problem goes away, also had the issue with the 24.9.1 drivers but never noticed till this weekend as haven't been on

Running a 16:10 laptop with 2560x1600 but want to run a game on 1920x1080, scaled while preserving aspect ratio. Under scaling mode, 'Center' works which gives me no scaling and a small viewing area, but there is no difference between 'Full Panel' and 'Preserve Aspect Ratio' - they both stretch and distort.

Also, 'Center' only works when it's the Global setting. Changing scaling mode in Game setting doesn't do a thing.

Hope this is a known issue and please let me know if there are workarounds.

The game is FC25 and I'm running Adrenalin 24.10.1, on Radeon 780M Graphics.

yeah 24.10.1 broke scaling completely, updated and after that i haven't been able to revert even tho i have upgraded to Windows 11, tried all drivers from 24.3.1 up until now, DDU in between.. something broke properly.

After updating to 24.10.1, black screen occurred frequently.
Result of installing after deleting the driver (backup recommended) with AMD option of DDU v18.0.8.4
It's back to normal. I don't know if it will work for others.
If it is an Intel system, please update ME as well.

I have a problem where when i start a game like Rimworld and i move around quickly it starts to show fragments or like small bits of icons twice it duplicates a part of some graphics and shows them for a split second and when i move slow it doesnt happen. It wasnt like that before and i know it only happened ever sicne i downloaded the new drivers yesterday.

I was hoping that the 24.10.1 driver would not have the same issues as 24.9.1, but I'm afraid that is not the case. I have a Beelink Beelink SER8 AMD Ryzen™ 7 8845HS mini-PC with an AMD Radeon 780M GPU. The AMD drivers up to 24.8.1 work as expected. However, any attempts to upgrade to either 24.9.1 or 24.10.1 result in the following:

  • Installation attempted
  • The screen turns off and back on again, and colors are oversaturated
  • The screen turns off again, and eventually, the monitor says "No Signal" and goes into sleep mode
  • Sometimes, I wait, and the system restarts; other times, I have to do a hard reset via the power button
  • The system restarts with the standard Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, and the AMD Radeon 780M driver is disabled
  • I run the AMD Cleanup Utility, reinstall the 24.8.1 drivers, and the system is back to normal

If you have encountered this issue and have a solution, I would welcome it.

Hmmm, I'm using SER8 as well and have no problem with installing 24.10.1 version. But I chose "drivers only" - try that please.

The worst thing is that my PC hangs when using Lightroom features that utilize GPU a lot (like detecting persons, background, AI, etc)

Thank you for the suggestion, but I'm afraid I had no luck with it. I used the AMD Cleanup Utility to start fresh and picked "Driver Only" for the installation. The screen changed once, producing an oversaturated image, then went dark for several minutes before the computer rebooted. When it rebooted, the screen was oversaturated and at a low resolution. I went into the Device Manager to manually select the 24.10.1 driver, and the system went dark while loading the driver.

I did a hard reset of the system, ran the AMD Cleanup Utility again, and did the "Driver Only" installation again, this time skipping the installation of any AMD drivers other than the graphics driver. The results were the same; initial screen appears with oversaturated image, then the system goes dark. It does beep a second time when it's dark, but the screen never refreshes, and eventually I get a "No Signal" message from the monitor and it goes into sleep mode.

I wiped the system and reinstalled the full driver set from 24.8.1, and it works. I'm going to wait and see if 24.11.1 works!

After this update my adrenaline software refuses to open again, but I get the alt+r icon in most games, but it doesn't actually do anything. I don't know if it was Win11 24H2 update, this AMD driver update or a little both. I've attempted rollback on both and it hasn't fixed it. I've done the typical delete a folder, do hard uninstall of drivers, etc. Those paths used to work but none are now. This happens almost every other driver update for me.

So far not even an AMD driver has been able to make my RX 7600 stable, the ms is not unstable making the games horrible to play, apart from the FPS drop, I can't play BF2042, BO6, Warzone. I went from Win11 23h2, with 23.12.1 drivers working, to Win11 24h2 that gives the first driver that supports it not working until today.

I using WSL Ubuntu 22.04.05LTS,

Before this, using amd-software-adrenalin-edition-24.10.21.01-win11-june18-rdna version,

There was nothing wrong with running WSL. However, if you run WSL after using this recommended driver, It takes GPU full throttling simply by turning on the WSL and it use GPU resources indefinitely, dramatically decelerating the DESKTOP frame and generation image with Stable-Diffusion 3 times slower. Can't you make a good WSL driver?

Thanks for the update! It's great to see new game support and features like HYPR-Tune. The fixes for DayZ and Doom Eternal sound promising. I’ll watch out for any issues and report them if needed. Appreciate the heads-up!

RAM: 32 gig Corsair Vengeance

Mobo: MAG B650 Tomohawk WiFi

PSU NZXT C850

GPU Driver: 24.10.1

Playing Diablo 4 for 5 minutes causes my PC to shut off with no warning. Checking Event viewer after restart says critical error 41 - kernel power.

Spoke with Microsoft trying to figure out why this was happening, advised to update drivers. Updated everything including bios and chipset. Same thing happened. Started thinking it could be a PSU issue.

Then I thought back to when this started happening (the day I updated to 24.10.1) But it couldn't be the GPU drivers though, could it? I mean, AMD wouldn't let that kind of bug out into the wild, would they? Rolled back GPU drivers to 23.12.1 anyway, just to see what happened. Been playing Diablo 4 for over 2 hours now, no problems at all.

You guys need to sort this out, because your drivers are causing total shut downs of people's PC's, it's not going to be long before it does irriversable damage to someone's hardware. And I tell you now, if it's done anything long term to my PC, I'll be seeking out legal advice because I'm so sick of this. I mean, it's every update AMD. When's it going to end? When areyou finally going to get a grip and stop releasing rubbish, broken, bug filled drivers?

To be fair I was told AMD's drivers were utter dog s*it before I bought the stupid card, but I guess at the time I was hoping that you may have learn't a thing or two and sorted the driver issues out... Nope.

Yours

A soon to be ex AMD customer.

That's odd. I'm running 24.10.1 on a Powercolor 6900 XT and I played Diablo 4 for 5 hours (and streamed it on Facebook at the same time) two days ago straight. Max settings. 0 issues. 0 reboots. I also played tonight for 8 hours straight.

Maybe it's a difference in hardware, because I'm having no problems. Have you tried using DDU to uninstall the old drivers before installing new ones?

Either way, I hope you get it sorted. I don't wish a dead system on anyone.

Most likely it is an issue with your psu, possibly heat. It's tripping the hardware shutoff protection. Rarely drivers can cause shutdown issues like this, but usually it's a hardware issue.

Do you have trouble reading?

Telling you a fact of life. I normally do not bother because it's clear you do not know what you are doing, and typically have a response like you just gave.

Sure mate, whatever you say. You could have avoided your obvious confusion by reading my post instead of just skimming through it. But, you chose to reply before reading, so I asked if you had trouble doing so. Then, instead of simply saying no, you chose to throw assumptions at your screen, in an attempt to claw back a slight bit of dignity.

As I said in my op, and you'd have known if you had read it, I installed driver 23.12.1 which, for the last 6 days has not given me one single issue. So tell me, because I don't know what I'm doing remember? Is that my PSU or possibly heat that's causing it to have no problems with driver 23.12.1?
