The latest AMD Driver mentions about fixing the Timeouts with the RX500 series GPU cards:

Fixed Issues

  • Playing Horizon Zero Dawn™ for an extended period may lead to driver timeouts or game crash on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon™ RX 6700 XT.
  • Driver timeouts may be experienced while playing a game & streaming a video simultaneously on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon™ RX 500 Series Graphics.
  • Some users may experience high idle memory clock speed values when two or more monitors are connected to their system.
  • Driver timeouts may be experienced while playing The Medium™ on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon™ RX 6700 XT.
  • On full GPU load, Radeon™ Software may incorrectly display higher than actual GPU power consumption values.
  • While playing Wreckfest™ or Arma™ 3, image corruption may be experienced when viewing foliage.

You can try a clean install of the latest 21.10.1 driver since it was mostly an issue related to the driver, but also keep an eye on your GPU temperature, since if it is hitting 85C or more during heavy load it might be old thermal paste as well.

Kind regards

The temperature is ok, it stays below 75 degrees. I just cleaned the gpu and the hole pc and for now there aren t any probles. i hope the dust on the fans was the issue. Thanks to everyone who helped me. Have a nice day.

I'm having the same problem.

I thought it was my power source, which was 500w. So I switched to a 750w power supply (80 plus gold) and everything remained the same.

The only solution I've found is to adjust the temperature in AMD Radeon Software's advanced settings to -20% (20% less power for VGA).

That didn't happen anymore, but on the other hand I lost some of the graphic quality.

I have an AMD RX 580 graphics card. I received too, many driver timeout messages, especially when I was waking up and turning the PC on.

Not much time after starting Windows and trying to open some program or browser, I was getting driver timeout messages (after the screen froze, then a black screen, then the display turned on again).

I tried some adjustments in the AMD interface Software Adrenalin Edition and it seemed like it was working, but then I got again those crashes and driver timeout messages.

In my case, the solution to this was to clean the computer inside from the dust and to put thermal paste on the CPU.

A few days ago (after long time passed without having driver timeout messages and after long time passed without cleaning the computer inside), I received again those driver timeout error messages.

I cleaned again the computer from the dust (I use the hair dryer as dust blower, instead of compressed air duster, but I try to be careful and not to keep very much the hair dryer on a surface...I swing the hair dryer from side to side). The thermal paste on the CPU was dried, so I cleaned the surface and I put some thermal paste again. The driver timeout messages didn't appear anymore.

I hope this is helpful.
