I have a Lenovo P620 running Windows 10 with AMD RAIDXpert 2. The boot disk 2 nvme drives in RAID 0. This is probably a bad idea, but I thought I would try it out as it was a selling feature. I intended to do periodic clones of the drive. This worked during the initial setup however backup now always fails. I have tried Windows 10 inbuilt, O&O DiskImage professional (licensed) and Macrium Reflect Free. All crash. One suggested fix is to repair the drive. I run
chkdsk c: /r
This always crashes with a Blue screen during boot at more or less the same point during Stage 4 at 13% with message
DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
What failed:
rcraid.sys
The Lenovo website offers 2 AMD Drivers: version 9.3.0.16726 Jan 2021 and version 9.3.0.0020617 Sep 2020. Both perform in the same way as far as I can tell and result in a Blue screen. There is another driver on the AMD website, but this is not offered by Lenovo.
Does anybody have a suggestion how to fix the Blue screen error? Is it safe and recommended to try the AMD driver that is not approved by Lenovo?
Thanks
