Found that AMD Drivers for an Ryzen 7600X (IGP - not used) and an NVIDIA RTX4060 (used) under Windows 11 hinders the start of the games "Dishonored 2" and "Dishonored : Death of an outsider" . Symptom: Game starts, syncs (on Steam) and stop directly.
Cause: Drivers for AMD IGP loaded despite not being used.... takes presedence in choice of graphics card.
Users who have disabled IGP before first install of Windows does not seem to have this problem as the drivers never get installed. (Uncertain if the "unknown device" causes the same problem if Adrenaline drivers are installed again)
Remedy:
1: Uninstall AMD driver for the IGP AND remove drivers via Device manager.
2: Disable IGP in BIOS.
3: Start Windows ... enter Device manager and disable the "unknown device".
4: Now the game can be played.
Time to fix ?
