AMD Adrenaline drivers resetting when restarting.

AMD software doesn't like restarting? Everytime i restart my pc it resets BUT if i shut the whole system down and wait a few seconds and boot back up AMD software does not reset and everything is fine.  Also if i shutdown and immediately power back on as soon as it shutdown amd resets, only waiting a few seconds after a shutdown will it not reset due to system failure.

Hi, its the Microsoft Copilot breaking the AMD drivers settings. Since the update KB5030310 it'll cause this issue, resetting any custom settings that is saved. AMD and Microsoft is said to be still trying to work on a fix for it. Meanwhile a similar issue has being fixed on this forum. You can find the details below.

Get vivetool from the link below and unpack it to C:\vivetool

https://github.com/thebookisclosed/ViVe/releases

Open that folder in an admin PowerShell as Administrator and run the command line below in the interface which then will disable co-pilot

./vivetool /disable /id:44774629,44776738,44850061,42105254,41655236

You could also use CMD as Administrator, but without the period and slash.

I found the below a better option as I had error access denied...

Two ways of doing this as per the YouTube video. I did the Reg Edit as it is easily reversible.

Thanks for the share. This is much more user friendly.

Hello everyone, after deactivating Windows Copilot I still have the problem.
I'm a Windows Insider user, does anyone have another idea?

Maybe you can try from Group Policy Editor. Open Group Policy User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Windows Copilot, Double-click the Turn off Windows Copilot and set the Turn off Windows Copilot to Enabled.

I've actually tried that, including different driver versions, but without success

Hi, do you have any other software controlling your GPU or CPU? Also do you use the Power Button to Shutdown you PC?
