Amd adrenalin software freeze

hi, i have a problem with amd adrenalin, every few hours or minutes it won't open, i saw the icon in task bar but when i click on it it wont open, i have to go to task manager and stop amd software: host application, someone know how to solve this?

I have this exact problem. The app just won’t open and I have to do the exact same thing. It frequently freezes and stops responding out of nowhere, but I usually notice it while playing (because that is when I want to use it obviously). Tried reinstalling gpu drivers and adrenalin app twice but it didn’t change anything.

Dude same thing is happening to me but it's after running a game. I haven't seen it happen other than that. I also notice my FPS counter and micro stutter metrics etc don't work. The rest of the metrics do. I am unable to open adrenaline via the taskbar. I can hover over it and it pops up but wont actually open. Until eventually it just wont even do that. I got to taskbar it says its not responding. Then I have to close it out and it works again. I tried a bunch of different drivers and amd cleanup and DDU and nothing solved it.  Here is a video I made of it. https://youtu.be/3wI-CNNNMws

Same issue here..

 

Only just got my 7800xt coming from 3060ti this software is abysmal 

 

Fresh install of windows TWICE both times upgraded to latest drivers from basic vga driver so no other conflicts.

 

Got to a point where I'm leaving it be hopefully it gets fixed as I'm liking the performance of the 7800xt at 1440p 240hz.

 

Only happens if I start playing games tried disabling all overlays, notifications etc to no avail.

 

I'm wondering if it's something to do with win 11 24h2.

I installed the new 25.3.1 but installed minimal instead of full and  the software hasn't crashed once.

 

Unsure if 25.3.1 full install is fixed but for now I'll stick to minimal.. lost some features such as fluid motion and game specific profiles but didn't use them

 

So not a big loss, still have chill etc
