Hey All. I have been having a really hard time with Adrenalin not opening. I followed a lot of suggestions on the forum with no success. I found a possible fix and wanted to see if it helps anyone. I am running Malwarebytes and it seems to have been blocking the Adrenalin app. I added it to the Allow list in Malwarebytes and it seems to consistently open now.
Steps:
Open Malwarebytes
Click on settings
Scan and detections
Scroll to the bottom and select Configure under the Allow List
Add Item
File or Folder
Select Add a File and then Browse
Navigate to C:\Program Files\AMD\CNext\CNext
Select RadeonSoftware.exe
Select Exclude from all detections
Save
In the aftermath of trying a lot of things, I have also set "run as administrator" in the AMD Adrenalin properties, created an inbound and outbound firewall acceptation for AMD Adrenalin, and have tried the Epic Games log file rename trick. These solutions didn't give me any positive results but when I updated Malwarebytes to allow RadeonSoftware.exe, it seemed to fix everything.
Hopefully this is another helpful step if you reach a dead end trying to fix this issue.
