All Versions of Adrenalin Won't Install
Motherboard: Asus P8z77-V
CPU: i7-3770
GPU: Radeon 5600 XT
OS: Windows 10 1909
Installed new GPU. No matter what version of Adrenalin I try to install it freezes up at the same place.
Called AMD support, they said the card is not supported on Windows 10 1909.
I tried installing Windows 2004 and 20H2 and those are not yet ready for my PC.
Since I know that the motherboard is compatible with the GPU, my goal was to get the driver that is known to work with W10 1909, bit so far no luck. Any ideas?

Download the windows creation tool directly from Microsoft for the October update. It is available. Run DDU in safe mode then reinstall drivers.

Thank you for that advice. I used DDU to clean out AMD and Nvidia drivers and downloaded the latest driver from AMD and had the same result (with Adrenalin freezing up when it gets to the "Detecting your system for driver and software compatibility").

try to install an older driver - then install the latest "over" the older one ;)
EDIT:
ahh now i saw you are running 1909 - but you NEED 20H2 = update your Windows first

Thank you all for your advice. As the Windows updates were not working I used the create install media option from Microsoft and was able to re-install Windows with the latest update 20H2. This resolved all of my issues with the RX 5600 XT.
Thanks again.

Glad that worked for you. Nothing is more frustrating than windows updates preventing a install.
