Within the app it isn't always responding and I have to force close in task manager ??

Anyone else having this issue after updating to the latest Drivers ?

Games are running fine and i'm loving the HYPR RX performances btw

It is very weird but guess that's AMD drivers for ya lol

Yeah ever since I installed the latest version of Adrenalin it was very unstable for a day but then it started working okay

I don't understand how my issues with AMD adrenalin has been fixed without having to download another driver, maybe my PC got used to it but just took a few days lol

On a serious note I do think it could be because I disabled HYPR RX

That's also the case for me .. I got the 7800XT when it launched and I had no other option but to get latest Adrenalin version, which is 23.9.1, no option for me to get older software as this is the only one for the new gpus and also separate. So I went for win 11 of course and it was totally not usable, I reinstalled my OS 3 times till I went and rolled back to win 10 which mainly solved the issue. Seems that there's still a lot of software incompatibilities. Everything was crashing .. at first I thought the problem was caused by my hardware.

I have the same motherboard and GPU but my issue is when I start my computer, only a black screen show up in the main moniter(I can use my mouse) and a black window in my second moniter. I have to reboot then it seems working alright. The next day I restart the same issue appears. This happened when I upgraded to 23.9.1 but still exists after I rolled back to 23.8.2. Quite annoying.

Yeah.  Same behavior.  All the driver timeout issues introduced with 23.9.1 persists even rolling back to previous driver versions.  Neither AMD driver removal tool or DDU appears to remedy the issue.  It's if even when 23.9.1 is completely removed, the drivers or software did some permanent damage to some Windows files.  Really glad I only installed these drivers on my test system and not my main PC.

I haven't had any issues weirdly since I set the global profile to default & then I just enabled HYPR RX individually for certain games.

It seemed all the issues come for me once I did that and Adrenalin started locking up

I'll be honest HYPR RX isn't really worth it since after testing a fair few games. It's clear Super resolution makes it look worse since it overrides FSR preset in games

Cyberpunk, Ghostwire and Starfield all look worse with image quality when you enable HYPR RX

If you're getting enough frames already i'd recommend not to even use it and wait for FSR 3

Yep,.. i dont like fake frames and fake **bleep**. In fact, i do NOT like the trend thats going with dlss and fsr bull **bleep** going on at all, and dont gaf about it, never use it, and wont.

As for FSR, I can't say that it matters much to me, the only game that I care about that looks great to me (with RT enabled) is Metro Exodus, and my RX 7900 XTX can max it out with framerate at about 70fps to >100fps at 3840x1080. My RX 6900 XT can manage it at 3440x1440 with RT disabled, framerate is playable so I can't complain.

Though I do have Cyberpunk 2077, I find myself not exactly enamored by the game, it's been sitting in my SSD gathering 'dust' actually. But since I have tons of storage space, I'd left it alone. All other games I'd played on both my rigs run just fine, that's why I'm a believer of buying higher end cards, they last longer.....generally.

I'm using the FSR Mod for that Metro game since it only supported DLSS at the time

Works great with everything absolutely maxed

I take it you are talking about the Super Resolution at driver level with Metro ?

Cyberpunk for me is a really good game but the ray tracing options put a big strain on GPU & CPU plus I don't think CD PROJEKT Red optimize their games very well which makes performance worse.

I get its a demanding game but they cater to Nvidia RT which annoys me

For me performance mode 4K with everything Ultra including RT works fine anyway

FSR Enabled for the boost and I can't tell a difference between quality FSR or performance tbh

However there is most definitely a difference with RSR enabled at driver level because I did some testing in comparision, that's why HYPR RX for that game at least isn't good if you're bothered by losing image quality, it makes visuals noticeable worse in cut scenes. Its more blurry overall & I dont like that

I didn't actually notice much difference in Witcher 3 but Starfield, Ghostwire i did, in game FSR is a lot better because it's better tech over RSR Super Resolution

I tried it out on Metro Exodus, that Hyper-RX doohickey, and though I think my framerate did improve, I'd noticed that PQ seems to have degraded somewhat. I'll go back running it at 'Quality' instead of Hyper-RX since my rig is fully capable of running the game natively at about 70fps to >100fps.

So i've been playing a lot of Starfield and mainly steam games with no issues.

But for some reason I had another crash after playing the Expanse game when exiting the game ?

Same issue I had when played Assassins creed 3 on the odd occasion, but I disabled Ubisoft overlay and been fine since ?? Why ? Is it the overlay with EPIC GAMES that don't like these drivers ? Actually not sure because Dead Island 2 I have had zero crashes after exit of game and thats on the EPIC games launcher

These drivers are weird but seem to love unresponsiveness on game exit, not to mention the same thing with their adrenalin app on release of driver 23.9.1

I've had crashing playing The Old Republic (AMD drivers) OW2 (client) on the 23.9.2 drivers

The rest of the games I play tend to not have issues anymore which is good but I still have lost 300 Mhz while maxing out the GPU while playing RE4:R (from 2950-3050 down to ~2750 @400 watts) but it is still above spec I guess. There doesn't seem to be any change in heat output or anything from the readings I get from HWiFO64.
