Adrenalin 23.12.1 - How to default ALL GAMES to "Use Global Experience (default)"
As subject mentions,
after the update to 23.12.1 my Adrenalin Home Screen presented itself and showed the last games I played, including their now active profile.
Mostly everything is set to HYPR-RX Eco including FRTC and ANTI LAG+ active. Why where almost all my gamesettings in my library touched and defaulted to the Eco Hypr-RX setting? Why -if at all- does AMD see fit to activate FRTC on my games with only 60 FPS? My Panel is capable of double the FPS?
How to set ALL GAMES TO DEFAULT except the ones I decide to change settings myself?
Keep your fingers away from my settings and do not enable your anti lag+ AKA "get banned technology" shenanigans on my games without asking! Do I realy have to sift through almost 200 games by hand to disable this? There does not seem to be a Set everything to default button.
Boooo AMD, you could do better!

Games set to custom were not affected.
Since I used Default for every game there were no problems.
After I installed 23.12.1 every game and its profile was changed to Hypr-RX eco, except the ones with custom config.
The button on the upper left side does allow to global change things, but does not offer default, and cusrom is gray, cannot be enabled there.
So I had to change every game by hand...
Who ever thought enabling a framecap to 60 in some games without asking the user wasn't very clever.
Not offering a disable function for this eco thing, enabling "anti lag" -the one feature over the last years that seriously managed to **bleep** up my destiny 2 and counter Strike experience... not amused.
(Ok amd chill managed to **bleep** up even more, but this was not enabled, so I'll not iterate on this one).
@amd please stay away from per game settings without offering a sufficient method of reversing your changes!

Overall it is a bad idea to change ppl's settings without asking, so its fair.
I am curious about what was the issue with Chill tho, I am using it and so far didn't have any issue?

When I bought the new Vega 56, so a few years ago, radeon chill was introduced and also enabled by default in "supported games".
It made everything including the windows desktop stutter --> I concluded to not use it anymore.
When I decide to use a feature I'll enable it, but changing my default settings is not fun.

Hmm I am using AMD for about 2 months now and overall they don't look like the best at bringing new features without some issues/quirks 😕
And yeah don't change settings without asking

I have the same. You must change it manually. Game by game. Also Eyefinity is not working well for my 7800 XT. AMD is starting to nervous me and I am using it by years...

I haven't downloaded this driver yet, and I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but according to their announcement on the forum, it looks like you might be able to simply turn that Hyper-X thing off in the Home tab (I'm assuming the existence of an Enable button would imply the existence of a Disable button):

EDIT: Though their Home tab Enable area looks different from what JFM posted, above.

Unfortunately there is no disable Button.
I went into each game listed in the driver and had to change the profile back by hand to default setting.

I can confirm 24.2.1 does work as intended, my settings are not touched.
23.12.1 and 24.1.1 had this problem.
Case closed I guess 🙂

Unfortunately similar BS (sorry, but I'm really PISSED right now) happened again with 24.1.1:
Games that where set to "Use Global experience (default)" where switched to HYPR-RX ECO.
Games that where set to Custom Settings, where set to Use Global experience (default).
AMD, please for the love of god STOP MESSING with my settings. I'm tired of this.
Now I'll have to sift again through all my settings.
This is not funny.
I spent a fortune on this card and want to use it. Please just provide the driver and do not mess with my settings.

Happened to me too. I opened a thread on reddit but nobody answered. I noticed this before updating to 24. I realised some of my games where on Hyper-RX Eco but my General Game config was Default. I changed them one by one and updated drivers.
After the update, every game was on Hyper-RX Eco, even the ones I changed before updating, but now also then ones that were set to "Use Global Experience (Default).
Of course, change them all one-by-one because there is no way to do it in a "bulk".
