I've seen videos by people using Adrenalin, so I know it must work. But, I'm on Adrenalin 22.10.2 (the last WHQL certified version) and if I try recording a video using HEVC as the Video Encoding Type, the audio works fine, but all I get for video is a black screen. If I try recording using AVC, the audio is blank, but the video shows up fine. I'm on Windows 11 Pro x64. Is anyone else seeing this?

Yes. As english it not my first language, I had to read it a couple of times too, but apparently capture and stream features don't work if you have multimonitor or eyefinity setup.
I have one monitor and just tried and could record also with HEVC, but when I started playback, it turns out I have missing coded and screen is black. I started VLC player which knows almost all codecs and video worked fine. https://www.videolan.org/vlc/ or you can install an app version from Windows Store.

Important notes
"AMD Software Capture and Stream features and Overlay support for Clone mode and Eyefinity display configurations will be introduced at a later date."
So I think that if you have more than one screen, it won't work.
I've got just one screen. I'd seen that note before and can't parse it enough to actually understand it. They should have broken those phrases out. Does it mean:
"The following will be introduced at a later date:
Or, are there parentheses in their someplace to group things.
It's nothing special, but here's an example video from about six months ago where the person is saying he's using Adrenalin to record with HEVC:

I suppose.

About a week ago, I installed the HEVC codec from the Microsoft Store:
So, it's really weird that it's a codec issue with Windows. But, I tried recording with OBS (HEVC) and got the same "audio but no video" issue. And, like you, I tried viewing the recording with VLC and it works fine.
Odd, but it looks like Microsoft's Media Player was the issue. Thanks.
Oops. It's not a Media Player problem. I'm the one who made the error. It looks like I'd downloaded and installed that HEVC codec while I was on Windows 11, version 22H2. But, I reverted from that back to 21H2. That made my installation of that codec null and void. Unfortunately, it looks like I can't install the free version of that codec any more (Microsoft caught the loophole?). And, since I've already paid for a computer, an operating system, and a video card, I'm not paying some more for a codec.
Found this tech site that shows where you can download HEVC codec for VLC using Codec packages. Maybe one of them will work for you and are free: https://www.winxdvd.com/convert-hevc-video/hevc-codec-for-vlc.htm
I personally use K-lite.
Or just use MPC-HC with K-Lite Codec pack
Same problem here, just one monitor with Adrenaline last version. The recording and streaming options in the top menu just dissapeared. Weird.
Same problem, have you got any solution?
Try cleanly reinstall drivers, i guess?
Ah yes, worked for me yesterday.
My post is for them recording doesnt start
I had already the same problem on RX 5500 but didnt know why . I succeed to record 2 or 3 times with 7900 XTX but sometimes it failed to record . At a moment , as i killed processus to not slower computer , i see that recording didnt work any more with adrenalin .
I saw that it didnt start because AMDSSERV processus was shut . So i shut adrenalin and restart it to have AMDRSServ.exe restarted and recording works well .
When i'm using teamspeak it will record my friend's voice too and I don't want it. Even if I choose to record only a region and choose COD, for example, the software still records my friend's voice from teamspeak.
I don't see any choice in the setting that allow me to record only the gameplay and not teamspeak. What I've to do in order to record only the gameplay?
Use OBS and use per-app sound capture.
Adrenaline records system sound either way. What are you disabling is your microphone, not some application called microphone.
