I just installed a new 6950 XT on an i9-10980 running Win 11driving a Dell U3818DW @ 3840 x 1600 through displayport
I'm having an issue where every time I reboot my computer the display defaults to 1024x768 and the only options I have in display setting are 1024x768 or 800x600.
The driver version is: 23.5.2
Device manager is definitely picking up the card as a 6950XT and reports the driver version as 5/23/2023 31.0.14057.5006
I have removed any previous drivers and done a clean install on this machine.
Sometimes I can get this to work by going to 'update driver' in windows and repointing it to the 6950 driver, but while writing this I'm stuck at 1024. If I remove the driver and use the windows basic driver, then I can get the full 3840 x 1600. Also, if I swap with an nvidia card, then I can also get 3840 with no issue.
What am I missing to make this work like a 'normal' video card? Any ideas?
