I got a new GPU a few days ago, and things were going well playing pretty old games like payday 2, batman Arkham games, borderlands 2 etc. However, when I was playing Arkham Knight during the intro the display went black and I couldn't see anything, only hear, so I had to hard reset the pc. Then when I turned it back on RTSS and task manager didn't show my GPU, and when I tried launching Arkham Knight my entire pc started stuttering like crazy and the menu was like 1 FPS. So I uninstalled the drivers using DDU multiple times by now with similar crashes repeatedly and I've been using the amd software stress test to see if it happens again, which it has been.
I installed an older driver instead last night which seemed to work, like 30 mins straight stress test with no display flicker. However, I did the same to make sure again today and the drivers crashed, causing a flicker but I didn't need to reset it and then amd software didn't recognize my GPU, and my GPU was labelled "GPU 2" in task manager.

SOLVED: turned off AMD Freesync Premium in my monitor settings and it resolved the issue.
It sounds like you may be experiencing compatibility issues with your new GPU and your current system setup. Some potential solutions include:
Updating the BIOS of your motherboard: Check the ASUS website for the latest BIOS update for your TUF Gaming B450M Plus II motherboard.
Updating the chipset drivers: Ensure that your chipset drivers are up to date.
Checking the power supply: Make sure your EVGA BQ 650 power supply is providing enough power to your GPU. The RX 6700XT requires a 650W power supply.
Re-seating the GPU: Open your PC case and re-seat the GPU to ensure that it's securely connected.
Checking the GPU temperatures: Use a monitoring tool to check the GPU temperatures during gameplay and stress tests. If the GPU is overheating, you may need to improve the cooling in your PC.
Trying an older driver version: If the newer driver version is causing compatibility issues, try installing an older driver version that's known to be stable.
Contacting PowerColor or AMD support: If you continue to experience issues with your GPU, contact PowerColor or AMD support for further assistance.
It's also possible that the issue could be with other components in your system, so it may be worth running hardware tests to rule out any other potential issues.

I don't have AMD Freesync, checked all settings by searching for those keywords. Any clue what else it might be? It's been doing this to me off and on since I've gotten it. Sometimes it won't happen for months on end and then it'll start happening every single day. Currently it's been happening for the past 4 to 5 weeks.
