5900x without GPU

Hi there to all of you.

I have just installed my brand new  Ryzen 9 5900x in an X570 Tomahawk MSI and 64Gb of DDR4. While I am waiting for my old GPU to arrive, I wondered if I might be able to save some time and install windows, but even booting seems to fail as the VGA led on the mobo flashes indicating the lack of GPU.

Does anyone have an idea if it would be possible to still make it work, as I will need very light work on my PC.

Any help is more than welcome!

The processor you have doesn't have Integrated Graphics thus your motherboard's Video Outputs are disabled. The only way to get Video Output is by installing a temporarily GPU Card and then install Windows.

Thanks for the help!

Another temporary solution, I forgot to mention, you can always install a APU processor to get video output from the motherboard and then install Windows.

a APU Processor is a processor with Integrated Graphics.

but it is better and easier using a temporarily GPU card.
