24.9.1 driver without fail crashes on Monster Hunter World
I just updated the driver today and couldn't even load into the game without the GPU driver crashing. Had to DDU the latest driver and revert back to 24.8.1 where everything works fine.
It sounds like you solved your own problem, not all graphics drivers are compatible with newer games, and MHW is already a mess, albeit one that I love. If the older driver works, keep on it. and hopefully a later driver will fix this hiccup.
