In short, it looks like the 22.4.1 driver on Athlon 3000G have an issue to output 60Hz signal from DVI-D to HDMI on a 144Hz monitor. I'll explain my setup and findings below.
MB: A320m S2H V2
CPU: Athlon 3000G
Monitor: Gigabyte FI27Q-P
Use a DVI-D to HDMI to connect from MB to the monitor. The MB manual said DVI-D can only output 1920x1280@60Hz. Although the monitor support 2560x1440@144Hz, I take what the manual said and would be happy if FHD@60Hz works. I plan to use the HDMI output only another monitor.
When I first install Win11, everything works fine. In fact, the resolution is 2560x1440@60Hz with Windows basic driver. However, after I install 22.3.1 driver, the monitor only show white noise. The screen will show up very shortly when plugging and unplugging the cable. In the mean time, the output from the motherboard HDMI port is always normal. Then, I found if I plug the DVI-D to HDMI cable into a 2560x1440@60Hz monitor(P27H-20), it would output 1920x1280@60Hz normally. One thing I notice is that when the display is showing white noise, changing the resolution from Windows have no effect, the monitor always said the resolution is 1920x1080@60Hz.
All I want is to have a 1920x1080@60Hz from DVI-D to HDMI(or DP?) on FI27Q-P. I need to reserve the HDMI port to my second monitor due to my desktop setup.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
