OK. I bought my GPU back in May 2024. After a few days the driver fails to load, and I have to reinstall the driver. Sometimes it cuts out when computer is idle sometimes it fails to load when starting and I have to hit the reset button. Often but not always when I do that the driver is not loaded. Just now the driver failed to load and I uninstalled the driver and started searching for ways to return this GPU before I reinstalled it. Suddenly the screen went black and when it came back on there was the driver already working and loaded. Any tips? Am I still under warranty?

Also hardly ever have problem with it under load. Computer is not running hot at all

I recommend a clean install of the current Adrenalin 24.10.1 driver, which means using DDU in safe mode to clean out the older driver files prior to the fresh install.  If that fails to fix the problem, look for other applications that are interfering with the GPU - motherboard manufacturer apps and things of this nature.  Use the Task Manager in Windows to disable apps that start up in the background, one at a time, to determine if one of them is causing the problem.

Microcenter did a courtesy return since I installed a 580 GPU and it worked fine. It probably helped that they were they were the ones that built it. Got a gigabyte wind force 12gb 4070 now and it is fine. It’s a couple frames slower than the 7078xt but ray tracing stats are way better. As far as installing everthing in safe mode and using an uninstaller. I did all that. Microcenter is the bomb in my book!
