RX 6800 not displaying 3440x1440 WQHD

I have recently purchased a 3440x1440 34-inch curved WQHD monitor for my home setup but my computer is not giving me the option to set 3440x1440 as the resolution for the monitor.  The graphics card was updated to 24.2.1 yesterday, I am using a DisplayPort to HDMI from the computer to the monitor and my computer specs are below.  Other forums point out that (2) 6x2 Pin connectors need to be used to power the GPU.  Is that all that needs to be done or is there something else?

CPU:  AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core

GPU:  AMD Radeon RX 6800

Power:  Corsair RM10000x

RAM:  32GB

You should be using DP to DP, assuming your monitor has a Display Port connection.  In addition, a high quality 4K DP cable (at the 1.4 rating, not the previous 1.2 rating which is only good for 4K at 60 Hz) is required.  Do not convert DP to HDMI for a gaming monitor.  It goes without saying that you need all power ports connected to your PSU, using separate PCIe cables.
