Very often when trying to awake a Windows 11 PC I get no image on display. After hard reseting the machine only the CPU integrated graphics works. Upon checking the Device Manager,
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."
The only way I found to fix it is by reinstalling AMD Adrenaline software but it's annoing to do so every other day.
The recommended Adrenalin driver for your RX 580 GPU is version 24.9.1; if you have been installing a later version, that is probably the cause of your problem.
Hi BigAI01, I am usint exactly that version.
Ok, I agree this is a problem that's hard to live with. My next step would be to use DDU in safe mode to completely uninstall the current 24.9.1 driver and then reboot to let Windows install it's approved driver. Try using that for a bit and see how it works for you. If you wish, go ahead and install the Adrenalin 24.1.9 driver again and after rebooting you can determine if it has stopped failing once Windows is awaken.
Try the
Adrenalin 23.8.2 (WHQL Recommended)
That's as far as my RX580 can comfortably handle with most games (excluding very recent of course). It's an old card at this point and the Adrenaline software is full of **bleep** with it's Recommended Driver levels. Even if you disable Optional Recommendations it's still usually a year+ beyond actual reality.
