Newly build pc cpu is running hot (ryzen 7 7700x with artic liquid freezer 240mm)
Hi, this is my first build, so I'm a little bit confused about my CPU. I'm sharing screenshots:
System at idle, with nearly 20 tabs open in Firefox and some apps that aren't demanding much.
System under load, with a CPU-Z stress test running.
20 min bf2042:
Is it normal? I applied the settings in the BIOS from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaOYYHNGlLs
My BIOS Settings:
Can you please help me?

Ryzen 7000 are typically running hot compared to the previous generations.
You can try changing the PBO Limits, which will lower the temperature even further.
There are a few videos about setting different values (here and here).
I'd recommend checking your motherboard manual regarding the values for PPT, whether they are in mW or W.

Hi, temperatures is a messy topic to handle, let me try and break down some important things.
Ambient Temperature:
If you live in a hot place and your room is getting around 25 to 26ºC, then you can certainly expect a higher idle and peak temperatures. Nothing to do about this other than cool down your room with an HVAC or forced ventilation.
Case:
This plays a lot too, if you have a front glass planel then its pretty normal that the computer will get less fresh air.
Fans:
If the former topic is for you, then make sure you use the correct fan, airflow fans are inadequate for a front glass case, use static pressure ones, the same on the water cooler radiator.
Cooler:
There is nothing wrong with your cooler if its working great, 240 should be enough, however, a 280 would be perfect for the 7700X. I'm speaking againsta myself here, I have a 240 on a 7950X but i have a lot of tweaking in place to get it under control.
Undervolt:
Following the former topic, you should either try curve optmizer or offset undervolt, it can improve your temperatures drastically while bumping performance at the same time.
Have a look at the following videos:
Curve Optimizer
Conclusion:
Your current temperature is still far from critical or safe limits so you don't have that much to worry about.
I would still undervolt 😉

Besides what other's have suggested, are you sure that your AIO is plugged into the motherboard correctly? I don't see a speed indication for the pump header (shows 0 RPM).
As Albert Einstein said, "I could have done so much more with a Big Al's Computer!".

hi sorry for follow-up question. as i said i changed thermal compound.
This is idle temps (firefox 20 tabs + discord + apps that aren't demanding much.)
This is cpu z stress test.
And this is game play test (Baldur's Gate 3)
I guess there is no problem any more right?
