Hello, Everyone!
We just started a new discussion (a.k.a. sub-forum) called "Battle Stations".
Share your rig and its specs, or your entire Battle Station with everyone. We'd love to see it.
Time to clean up my desk and make it look picture perfect! 😂
Wait a minute. What defines a 'Battle Station'? Should it be an entire room dedicated to the one computer and it's monitor?
Here is my attempt at nice photos. Ignore the grain. Night mode does that on my phone for some reason.
I really like the mood lighting. Make sure you share this over in Battle Stations!
Amazing rgb choices 😄
@Sam_AMD , you know this is my addiction right now. After doing one battle station, it's hard not to do another one.
This is a great post. Can't wait to see everyone's setup so I can get ideas! 😀
You guys all have such beautiful rigs 😞
STEP IT UP, @Key-J! 😜
@Key-J, what is your setup right now?
Pic from last Christmas when I got one of the best gifts I've ever gotten ❤️
This was what it looked like previously
Looks Great!
Super clean and classy lighting color choice! 👍
Not the best photo, but here's mine:
That TV might distract from your gaming.
Hahaha!! Only when I want it to!! 😉
Nice setup. I am really thinking about investing in one of those curved monitors. I am using a 48" Oled as my main monitor and it has ruined my eyes from be able to see anything on 24" or smaller.
I ran a curved monitor for a couple of years. They're generally VA panels and they get pretty smeary during fast movements. I've got back to an IPS flat panel. I lose some color clarity, especially dark colors, but I'm satisfied with things.
SHIELDS!!!
I consider my 'Lian-Li-X3D' a battle station of sorts. It's my go-to machine for gaming with World of Tanks and games of this nature. Now, it sits on a free-standing bar in my basement, but with the mirror behind the bar, I can watch myself gaming and correct my mistakes in real time.
A recent monitor upgrade really made a difference. I'm running the AMD 5600X3D CPU (from MicroCenter) and the 7900XT video card. Alas, I only got 16 GB of DDR4 memory with the motherboard/CPU/memory combo deal. But I love this computer. The old case is something I reviewed many years ago.
I have 128 GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR4 3200 for sale if you're interested.
I'm good. For a gaming machine, I don't think Windows will take all 16 GB of RAM. Now, if I were opening up 50 tabs in Chrome......
You'd be surprised how much RAM Windows soaks up... and at only 16GB, I'd be willing to bet it's using more than half of it. With 32GB my computer at work was using 35% of the RAM just for Windows 10, and at 64 GB, it's now only using about 13%.
Ah, a man of high class I see. :hot_beverage:
I'm sorry, I don't have permission from the Mrs. for a Battlestation, a Livingstation at best?
I'm redoing my battle fleet yet again, but I'll start posting pictures soon. Here is the latest build just finished. I'm going to put the 5600X3D I just bought into this. I have an RTX 3070 in it, which is sacrilege for me, but my son's friend and long-time LAN party participant was getting married and needed some cash. So I bought it and used it in this build. My rig over in the corner uses the black version of this Asus GT501 case, and that has a Ryzen 5800X and Sapphire Nitro 6900XT Limited Edition.
Looks nice. Your whole gaming area is exceptional.
My Current Jank setup lol. I dont move into my own house for another week here where I'll have a dehumidifier and Aircon in my gaming room (chose the gaming room over the bedroom lol). So until then, I need to keep the side panels off and an extra room fan blowing on it ha. I also have a Primochill Praxis open test bench where I'm going to move everything over to after I get some space. That mini ITX case is a heat trap in this climate where the daily average temperature is 27 celsius (I'm Canadian). Anyways, it's hot, she's red-lined a couple of times already when I haven't had the Room fan blowing on it. Love this subforum though, lots of wicked Battlestations in here. Love the creativity. See below for my PC specs.
On Saturday (23 Dec 2023), I swapped locations for my Purrfection and Game-a-Tron-3 computers, so that I would have a good gaming machine upstairs (from the basement) in the den. You see, Game-a-Tron-3 now has a lovely LG UltraGear QHD 34" curved 160 Hz gaming monitor matched to it's recently installed Radeon 6700XT graphics card and the AMD 5600X CPU. It sure was a heavy lift for me going up the stairs. I think it must weigh around 60 lbs.
Looks good there. I've always liked having a PC near a window myself
The cats love sitting on top of Game-a-Tron and looking out the window at the bird feeders on our deck. They have what you might call a 'birds-eye' view.
