Im trying to buy a used gpu for my sister's pc to turn it into a gaming pc because i want her to turn into me...:/
anyway this is the specs
Ryzen 5 PRO 5650G APU
16 gb 3200
500 ssd Samsung 970 pro
and no seperate gpu
My psu is a Corsair RM650w gold...which is alot for this but i bought it because i was planning on buying gpu for her asap but instead i made mistake of buying ps5 and psvr2 but thats neither here or there
so i decided to buy a used gpu for her to encourage her to play newer games with me
i was looking into buying a rx 6600 xt but after looking around in used gpu market in my country i realized that i can buy a rx 6700 xt for only 30 40 extra bucks and i know its probably gonna be overkill for that cpu but if my psu allows it why the hell not?
which is exactly my question
is my psu enough for this gpu? because i really dont wanna upgrade the psu too...its a whole thing
i tried googling this of course but find very confliciting answers...some say its more than fine...some said its gonne turn off if you play more than half an hour of games on it, so i thought i seek out the answer from people who have been actually using this config or better on a similar psu
also...her monitor is 1080p 60hz and im not planning on buying a 4k monitor or anything with more than 60hz for her anytime soon so you can assume everything will be playing on 1080p 60hz, which again...i know its...underkill for this GPU but for a few extra bucks why not
if its no problem at all for the psu
