We did it gamers. My husband got a bunch of cash for his bday, so we finally got him a gpu upgrade. He is currently playing jedi survivor on ultra settings, with ray tracing enabled, and he is getting well over 60 fps. I also got to finally install the second gpu extension I made last year, for this occasion. I also did some light tinkering with the placement of case fans, since he got my 3900x when i upgraded to a 5800x3d. I also recently had a buyer for my midnight black 6800xt, so unfortunately, I have to use the gtx 1070 in my rig for about a week. Just one more upgrade to go... and I can be satiated.

my cables i made 🙂 its a little dusty in here, i think a case swap is in the future for him. i moved the top 140mm fan from over the cpu cooler, to the front of the case. i also put this cardboard ramp in the 5.25 drive bay area to divert air into the cpu cooler. 3 degree temp reduction from this alone 😮 oh dear god what have i done

hoping to get a 6950xt, or just a partner card 6800xt. my reference card overheated all the time 😕

That cardboard air deflector is interesting.  If it's worth a 3 degree reduction in temperature, it's a good idea.
