Hi everyone,
I'm currently in the process of upgrading my streaming equipment, and I'm having trouble deciding on the best audio setup for my needs. I'm considering whether I should go for a standalone microphone and headphones or invest in a headset that combines both. (currently use a headset)
I'm looking for something that will provide clear and high-quality sound for both my voice and the game audio. I'm also looking for something that will be comfortable to wear for long streaming sessions.
I would really appreciate some advice from the community on which option they think is the best for streaming. Do you recommend a standalone microphone and headphones, or a headset that combines both? And which microphone, headphone, or headset do you think would be the best option for me?
Thank you in advance for your help!
You can put together a nice budget friendly streaming setup these days, I'd personally go with a standalone microphone, one of those condenser mics like the FIFINE USB mic that sit on the desk with the tabletop stand and don't appear in the shot (camera view) like many mics you see on live streams and podcasts. You can put it in the front, beside or behind the keyboard and it will pick up audio just fine. Or if you'd like you can get their kit which comes with a boom arm, pop filter, shock mount, etc. for more freedom.
Thank you for the suggestion! A standalone microphone like the FIFINE USB mic sounds like a great option, I will look into the kit option as well.
As far as headphones go, I use a pair of Sony MDR7506 studio headphones that I really love. It's a solid price and great quality! I'm actually on my second pair because the felt started to wear, but even that's something you can take care of yourself if you aren't lazy like me, hehe.
I use the Razer Sieren X Mic and it works wonders for me. Since changing from using the integrated Mic in my Kräken V2 to this, I saw a huge jump in quality.
You do sound clear in stream. Many streamers struggle with that.
