My current temperatures are reaching up to 98+ degrees while gaming, and it is a little worrying, would it be worth to disable core performance boost?

I don't have PBO enabled and all the settings are default

That cooler just won't be able to keep up with the heat of a 7700X. I recommend a Thermalright Peerless Assassin, or a Scythe Mugen 6 Dual Fan. You could also look into 240 to 360mm AIOs.

I'm using the Arctic Freezer 7 x

I see, I currently can't get that right now. Is there any alternatives such as disabling Performance Boost

You could do that. You could also try eco mode, although i am not sure where to find it in BIOS.
