AMD, it is up to you, do you want to succeed and grow marketshare or continue trailing competition

Here is a video from Gamers Nexus:

The RTX 50 Series disaster:

Here is my comment on that video:

"If AMD came out with cards that performed as well as a 5080 down but had an absolute maximum price of $700 they would decimate NVidia's grip on the gamer market. If they stopped short on the mid to low end and let Intel Arc clean up there then Nvidia's monopoly could be rendered non existent. I am not saying this will happen, but I am certainly saying it should happen."

It is up to you, do you want to have a crack at breaking Nvidia's monopoly for the good of everyone on this damned planet or do you want to jack your prices up to sky high and continue to lose market share harming the entire industry and ensuring computing continues to head towards becoming a pursuit of only the wealthy with all of you fighting for an ever shrinking slice of the ever shrinking pie as ever more are forced over to consoles due to the sky high prices of not just graphics cards but graphics cards especially.

I live in the UK,  I want to see a 9070 or 9080XTX that performs as well as a 4080/5080 while being no more than £650 / $700. You would hoover market share given NVidia's disastrous launch and eternal profiteering combined with that fact that vast numbers of their own customers hate them but feel stuck with them.

It is up to you, this opportunity will not last forever and you either want it or you don't, and if you don't then frankly you damage us all.

Regards.

wow, pretty dark.

Actually the 7900 xtx performs better in most games compared to the 5080 from what I have seen. So, there is already a card out there that can compete with the 5080 but cost around the same.

oops, need to correct myself. The 7900xtx can hang with 5080 all day long and cost half the amount. They want $2000 for a 5080. LMAO, that's the joke. Also there 5070ti is starting around $1000 and the 7900xtx makes that card look bad.
