7900 XT Crash And Timeouts

Ok so I built a Computer, I recently upgraded to the 7900 XT, But no matter what after a few days after completely fresh install of Windows 11 and just the newest Adreniline Im getting game crash...Dont matter if its Red Dead 2, PUB G, FFVII Remake...Or Mad Max within an hour the game crashes....So My only thoughts on this...is the Ryzen 7 5700G, Im thinking the 3.0 PciE is the cause anyone got anything else? Oh yeah, but if I drop the 6600 Xt Pulse It runs perfectly. Yeah I can watch you tube and Movies  and browse all day.

My setuo is

Tuff B550 Plus WiFi II

Crucial 500 gb  Boot drive

Western Digi Black 1 tb game drive

Delete the omen hub, then it should work.  I was so frustrated for a long time and tried that.  Hope that helps.

I would run something like MSIAfterburner and data log wattage and heat. If things look ok on that front then verify you have an up to date bios on the motherboard. If that's good then yeah I would move on to the g series processor. Why check the other stuff first? Because it's easy and it's free.

Hello, @Ragnarok3

There are a couple of things you can do to troubleshoot the issue:

1 - Be sure you connect the HDMI cable (or DP) directly to the 7900XT (not to the motherboard).

2 - With the above in mind, disable the iGPU, the GPU that is integrated with the CPU, you should be able to do this via the mobo's Bios.

3 - And as @spinalfailed mentioned, and if recommended by ASUS, update the BIOS.

I had a similar issue and I finally figured out it was my machines OEM gaming software.  I had an OMEN and had to delete the Gaming Center because it was not compatible with the Adrenaline. Once that was done it works like a champ.  Maybe see if you have anything like that installed. In the OMEN gaming center I could over clock things, deleted that and all is good now - maybe see if you have a competing software?

Ok So I did have the Omen hub installed ..And My bios was updated my thermals stayed around 69-70 underload. total board power was only slightly over 300w ..And the Dp was plugged into the correct slot on the back...I dbl checked the IGFX that were disabled and now that I think about it I got both GPU and Omen at the same time...gonna give it a go... Will update if you're curious. Thank you all for your response... The Omen Hub escaped my lasers....

That seems to have done the trick...I completely forgot I had gotten the omen at the same time. I hope it stays that way.

my issues were resolved after that and just by happenstance I figured it out.  I was ready to send the card back.
