How many ThunderBolt ports do you need?

Your Asus motherboard does have one USB-C port but not sure if it is the type that is compatible with ThunderBolt port.

Plus you Asus does have a Thunderbolt Header on the Motherboard so you can connect a Thunderbolt PCIe card.

Asus has it own Thunderbolt PCIe expansion card. But this tech site shows the best Thnuderbolt Cards including the above mentioned Asus Thunderbolt card: https://bytexd.com/hardware/thunderbolt-pcie-add-in-cards/

Asus ThunderboltEX4 PCIe card is compatible with your motherboard according the Asus Support for that Thunderbolt card. Here are all the Asus AMD Motherboards that are compatible for the 500 series: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/accessories/thunderboltex-4/helpdesk_manua...

Here is Asus webpage for the above Thunderbolt expansion card if interested: https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/accessories/thunderboltex-4/

I believe in Amazon it cost $90.00.

I thought the Ryzen 7 was the motherboard. I'm a Mac guy - what do I know? 🙂 The PC is for video rendering.

Per the system summary:

Basboard Mfg: Asus

Baseboard Product: TUF Gaming B550-Plus

Am I getting close?

Thanks for your help.
