Hello all! So I ran into a problem when I shipped one of PC's to my new address. I have a custom case that I made and when I packed it, I put something inside so parts didn't move around during shipping but somewhere along the line there must have been something stacked on top of it and the weight of the other box pressing down on my custom case bent the cooler fin so it's no longer making contact with the CPU plate. I pulled it all apart and the CPU seems fine and no bent pins, but there was no chance of bending the fin stack back so it's making proper contact. It was an id cooling low-profile CPU cooler. I didn't really like the performance anyway, so I'm looking for something that will run it a bit cooler in a hot climate, and I'm looking for some advice? It's not a beast of a CPU or anything, but the climate is hot so I'd like to see the temps as low as possible:
- Mini ITX B550i Aorus Pro AX
- Ryzen 7 1700x
- Low-profile Corsair Vengeance ram
Thank you everyone.

Cut some holes in the case. You can make one of them fit. 🙂
The heat pipes bent into the fins? That must have been a shock to the case. For the Ryzen 1700X, they run kind of warm. Is there a way to install a small AIO?
Unfortunately, I can't install an AIO it's for my lunch box custom PC case. There just isn't the room. I'm hoping everything is ok, won't though know until I put a cooler on it and hit the power button.
Noctua has a few low profile with fairly high TDP ratings you might want to look at. They are expensive though: https://noctua.at/en/products/cpu-cooler-retail
If it does the job, that's what counts!
Need to check Noctua CPU Cooler compatibility chart to let you know which one is best for your processor.
Here are all the Noctua CPU Coolers that are compatible with your Ryzen 7800X3D. Find all the low profile CPU Coolers on the list and see if it compatible with AM5 Motherboards and your processor: https://ncc.noctua.at/cpus/model/AMD-Ryzen-7-7800X3D-1649
All the CPU Coolers that are designated as "NH-L" are low profile CPU Coolers. Unfortunately very few are compatible and may not be strong enough for your processor.
The strongest low profile Noctua on the list seems to be the NH-L12S: https://noctua.at/en/nh-l12
The nest strongest low profile is the NH-L12 Ghost S1 edition : https://noctua.at/en/nh-l12-ghost-s1-edition
Maybe if you can tried checking at Super Micro store they may have Low Profile CPU Coolers for your Ryzen: https://www.supermicro.com/en/support/resources/heatsink
This is the only AM5 CPU Cooler Super Micro sells for Workstations with AM5 and Ryzen 7000 series processors: SNK-P0093AP4.
According to some other retailers that sells that cooler it has a TDP rating of 230 Watts.
Anyways maybe some other CPU Cooler manufacturers have a stronger Low Profile CPU Cooler than the ones I mentioned.
EDIT: Are you looking for a Low Profile Cooler for the Ryzen 1700X or your 7800X3D?
They don't have any compatible Low Profile CPU Coolers without Restrictions: https://ncc.noctua.at/cpus/model/Ryzen-7-1700X-cpu-1000
All of Noctua Low Profile CPU Coolers are compatible but with "Restrictions" All saying the Restriction is that the PC Case must have good air ventilation.
I was checking it out and Noctua won't work for me with the space I have. Their low profiles only have a TDP of 65w, and the CPU TDP is 65w I need more because of the hot climate.
Also, to clarify I just need one for the Ryzen 7 1700x. My 7800X3d is running the Arctic Liquid Freezer ii and there are no problems with cooling on that. I did see a few other brands that have 130w TDP, like the ID-cooling 67xt, Scythe Big Shuriken 3, and a Coolermaster one, but I don't like how it looks. It's unfortunate because I have 2 extra AIO's but neither will fit in the case.
