Next upgrade Processor

Hello there,

im new in this forum, but i want to know what would be the best processor i can upgrade to, this is my current setup

Processor: Ryzen 5 5600x 

Cooler: ThermalRight Peerless Assassin 120

RAM: 16Gb(2x8) G.Skill Trident 3600 MT/s

MotherBoard: MSI MAG Tomahawk B550

GPU: XFX Speedster SWFT 319 AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT CORE

PSU: Cooler Master MWE Gold 850 V2 Full Modular

Case: Lian Li Lancool 215 (5 Fans)

Storage: 500GB NVMe for OS (1), 1TB SSD for gaming(1), 1TB HDD for info(1)

was thinking on upgrading to a 5800X3D, 5800X or to a 5900X, any suggestion would be appreciated, thanks.

For Gaming 5800X3D (or if you're near a MicroCenter you can score a 5600X3D for cheaper)

For Production 5900X

Don't forget to check your bios version for supported CPU's .

nice to know, I'm not from the US so i dont have a microcenter, but i can buy it from amazon, Bios is up to date as i replaced the GPU recently from a 2060 12gb version to the rx6800 xt and feared a problem with the bios version i had, but thank you for the suggestion

I would first consider adding more RAM to give you 32 GB before I would swap from the AMD 5600X CPU to the AMD 5800X3D CPU.  That CPU upgrade will cost you $300 USD on Amazon right now.
