Is RX 6750 XT compatible with a 1440p, 240 Hz, 27" monitor?

Hi,

I hope you are doing great! I am currently searching for another monitor, and I would like to know if the one that I am interested in is compatible with my graphics card. I do not know much about technology, but I have seen that I should take care of that because it may or may not handle certain monitors depending on the graphics card.

The one I have is the RX 6750 XT.

I am interested in this monitor:

Brand: Redragon

Size: 27 inches

Resolution: 2560 x 1440

Panel: IPS

Refresh rate: 240 Hz

Response time: 1 ms

HDMI and Display Port, HDR 400

I attached all these characteristics cause I don't know what's relevant and what's not. If other type of into is needed, please let me know.

Thank you very much in advance,

Dom

It shouldn't matter as long as the GPU and the display both have the same ports. If you wanted display X and it had HDMI, then you would check if the GPU also had HDMI.

Most if not all modern graphics cards, like yours, have both HDMI and Display Port. Since you have an AMD GPU, you should look for a display with Freesync. It matches the display's refresh rate to the game's FPS and generally results in smoother feeling gameplay. Here is some information on it.

AMD FreeSync™ Technology.

Some displays don't support both Freesync and HDR at the same time. You should do some research on which displays and ports support it at the same time.

Ryzen 7 7700X, MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk Wifi, Corsair DOMINATOR® TITANIUM RGB 2x16GB DDR5 DRAM 6000MT/s CL30, Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Corsair HX Series™ HX1000, Corsair MP600 PRO NH 4TB

Thank you so much for you answer!

Now that you mentioned that about Freesync... What would you recommend between the monitor I mentioned before or one with Freesync, but 180 Hz (instead of 240 Hz)?
