AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D is 8% slower than 7800X3D in gaming, beats 7900X3D and 9700X

Thinking about acquiring the Ryzen 5 7600X3D for a new gaming computer?  Read this article first.  

 

It might be hard to get your hands on one of these X3D processors....It might be hard to get your hands on one of these X3D processors....

The 7900X3D always seems far more affected by the dual chiplet design versus the 7950X3D.

Maybe it's time to look at the 9000X3D series as they roll out.

 


As Albert Einstein said, "I could have done so much more with a Big Al's Computer!".

It is interesting, as both the 7900X3D and 7950X3D have the same extra overhead of deciding which chiplet to send particular threads too.  But in the case of the 7950X3D there isn't much of a performance hit compared to the 7800X3D.

 

I guess having only 6 cores in a chiplet causes threads to bounce around a lot more.
